RAM FAIR AT MASTERTON

PRICES DISAPPOINTINGLY LOW. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Masterton, Last Night. The Masterton ram fair was concluded to-day, when flock and stud Southdown rams were submitted to a large bench of buyers. Competition was keen for superior animals, but the sale was generally a dragging one with prices at a disappointingly low level. R. M- Perry topped the sale for stud rams, securing 60 guineas for an animal purchased by F. Wall, Martinborough. The top price for flock rams was 11 guineas, paid by Q. Donald junior for a ram sold on behalf of R. McLeod. Stud Southdown ewe and ram lambs and flock Southdown ewes met a dull sale.
