PETROL FOR FISHING BOATS
EXEMPTION FROM TAX URGED. GOVERNMENT’S DECISION TO-NIGHT By Telegraph.—Press Association, y Wellington, February 16. A deputation of Cook Strait fishermen, with whom were associated 16 members of Parliament representing all sections of the House, waited on the Minister x>f Finance (the Rt. Hon. J. G. Coates) j|pday urging that petrol used for fishing launches should be exempt from additional petrol tax. Mr. Coates said the matter would be further considered to-day, and he hoped to announce the Government’s decision In regard to this question and others tomorrow.
