CONTROL OF DOG RACING
LEGAL TOTALISATORS ÜBGEtt HOUSE OF COMMONS APPROVAL. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Rec. 8 p.m. London, Feb. 15. A motion in favour of bringing all greyhound tracks under the control of a board and legalising totalisators on them provided all nett profits went to the board and the number of race meetings was limited was tabled, in the House of Commons to-day by Mr. E. T. North (Conservative). The Hon. Oliver Stanley (Home Un-der-Secretary), on behalf of the Government, admitted considerable anxiety in regard to the growth of “tote clubs.” The Royal Commission had been asked to present an interim report on the question of totalisators. The motion was carried.
