SENTENCES AT PALMERSTON. By Telegraph—Press Association. Palmerston N., Last Night. Tn the Supreme Court to-day Mr. Justice MacGregor sentenced William Charles Norman, found guilty of assault and causing actual bodily harm, and theft at Levin, to 12 months’ detention for reformative treatment, and to be kept under medical supervision. Victor James Jameson, on three charges of theft, was sentenced to 12 months’ imprisonment on each charge (cumulative) and was declared an habitual criminal. Barney Vincent Reardon, for breaking, entering, and theft, and for theft, was sentenced to two years’ imprisonment with hard labour. Thomas Frederick Ellis on two charges of issuing valueless cheques was sentenced to two years’ imprisonment and was declared an habitual criminal.
