CHARGE AGAINST WOMAN
ALLEGED AID IN ATTEMPTED RAPE. By Telegraph.—-Press Association. Napier, Last Night. Three criminal cases, two for trial and one for sentence, as well as a fairly long list of civil actions were set down for hearing when the quarterly session of the Supreme Court opened at Napier this morning, Mr. Justice Blair, presiding; True bills were returned in the case in which Donald Arnott and Margaret Bell were jointly charged with attempted rape and in the case in which Desmond Kenny is charged with attempted rape at Makotuku on October 1, 1926. In regard to the first case his Honour said it would no doubt seem unusual that there should be a charge of attempted rape against a woman. It was alleged, however, that the woman was there to assist the commission of a crime.
