NOTED SOLDIER’S DEATH
FIELD MARSHAL ROBERTSON. FORMER COMMANDER IN CHEEP.. The death has occurred of Field Marshal Sir William Robertson, states a London cable. He was one of the outstanding figures in the British Army, having been Commander-in-Chief from 1915 to 1918 during the Great War. Field-Marshal Robertson had a romantic career in the Army, having risen from the ranks to the highest position. He served in several active campaigns, notably in intelligence departments, and gained a remarkable list of honours. . He was in his 73rd year.
