Forbes, the present session of Parliament will end in about three weeks’ time. Next week will be devoted to the second reading of the Sales Tax Bill, and by the time the second reading has concluded it is anticipated that the interested parties will have made their representations concerning exemptions. If any changes are to be made in the list these will be made during the committee stages of the Bill. The Prime Minister stated to-day that a Taxing Bill and a Customs Amendment ratifying resolutions passed last Wednesday night will also be introduced during the coming week.
