BLAZE ON CARTERTON FARM
HOUSE, BARN AND PLANTATION. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Mastertop, Feb. 10. A six-roomed residence in Dalefield Road, South Carterton, owned and Occupied by Bernard Lipinski, was completely destroyed by fire to-day. Fanned by a strong gale the flames quickly demolished the building which was situated outside the water area and the brigade had a difficult task. An adjacent barn, containing a considerable quantity of baled hay and sundries, also caught fire, but the contents were removed before much damage was done. A plantation of pines and a portion of the fencing was burned. The house was covered’by insurance but it is understood that the furniture, some pf which was removed in time, was not.
