BREAKING OF COLD WAVE
TEMPERATURES IN UNITED STATES. DEATH ROLL ESTIMATED AT 130. By Telegraph—Presss Assn.—Copyright. Rec. 6.30 p.m. New York, Feb. 10. The cold wave started to break today, although low temperatures are still reported in sections of the east and midwest. Heavy snow is predicted in the eastern section although there may be a higher temperature. The death toll is now estimated at 130, while millions of dollars worth of has been done to crops in many areas. The relief service in New York is still 'heavily taxed. Lodging houses are filled to capacity and the police are allowing vagrants to remain in heated subways.
