WEDDING OF BANKER
e ME. MONTAGU NORMAN. QUIET MORNING CEREMONY. London, Jan. 22. Following the announcement of his engagement to Mrs. Priscilla Worsthonie, aged 33, Mr. Montagu Norman, Governor of the Bank of England, who is 61 years of age, was married quietly. The bride is an old. friend of the Norman family, and divorced her husband in 1929. She is a London County Councillor. . 1 An amusing sidelight on the wadding is a snapshot in all the illustrated papers, depicting him with his hands before his face to baffle photographers, while the bride smilingly faces the cameras. It was a “hush-hush” wedding, early in the morning, in the presence of six witnesses. Ordinary dress was worn, and there were no flowers.
