Scores in the morning were:— N.P. W. Gunson, Lovegrove, Mills, McCarty 30 — J. Aylward, Sole, O. Lewis, Julian (s) ," -14 In afternoon play Kupe defeated McCarty by 35 points to 12. C. Brookes won the singles championship in the Warea Bowling Club, defeating G. Lewis by 20 to 11. A combined meeting of the hall committee, members of the Hall Society and residents of the district was held recently to discuss ways and means of raising money to pay off the debt on the Warea hall. It was decided to canvass the district and to hold a gala day.
