SPECIAL ACT FOR APPEAL
CONVICTION OF EDWARD TARRANT BILL TO GO BEFORE PARLIAMENT. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Blenheim, Jan. 17. Owing to the long vacation, it is necessary to pass a special Act of Parliament to enable the Appeal Court to hear the appeal of Edward Tarrant against his conviction for the murder of James Flood at Picton. The Bill will be rushed through Parliament next week and thq Court will probably sit on January 31. Under ordinary circumstances it would not sit till March 18.
