SWORD OF DAMOCLES.

(To the Editor.)

Sir,—l appreciate the local item ’ appearing in this morning’s issue of- the news dealing with the “string and . the motor-car,” . and I commend your reporter for his observation and sense of humour. My family have enjoyed, their holiday in. New Plymouth. This is largely due to the motor-car mentioned, and 1 wish to dispel the idea of .any danger from the binder twine. There is a patent catch which holds the rear door open,, and the twine is merely’ an additional safeguard. The small boys are perfectly-safe.—l am etc., J. C. WALSH. i .Eltham, January 13.
