SALVATION ARMY WORK
CHRISTMAS TREE PARTY. The primary department of the New Plymouth Salvation Army, held a Christmas tree evening■ and concert at the Citadel last night, the programme being thoroughly enjoyed. The programme was: Opening item, “Welcome Song”; recitations, Brien Peters; united song; Christmas song; recitation,' Daphne Proctor; song by children, “Dainty Daisy”; recitation, “The Eskimo,” Peter Williams; united song; penny song; selected of choruses by the children; dialogue, “Dolly ShoW”; song, “Sunbeam.” Father Christmas .arrived and distributed presents before the singing of the farewell song.
The leader was Miss R. Green, who was assisted by Misses I. Krutz, W. Richardson and T. Stevenson (pianist).
