PLANE’S FORCED LANDING
BOTH OCCUPANTS UNINJURED. MACHINE DAMAGED AT AUCKLAND By Telegraph.—Pr«i» AMoeiation. Auckland, Dec. 21, An Avro-Avian aeroplane, privately owned, was damaged in a forced landing near the Mangere aerodrome this morning. Both occupants were Uninjured. The pilot, D. , McNicol, Dannevirke, had as passenger Miss I. Gunn, Taumarunui. The plane took off at 10 o’clock, but the engine stopped while it was still at a low altitude.' The pilot decided to land in a nearby field. A landing wheel came off and the plane plunged its nose into the ground. The damage is not extensive and both occupants were uninjured. T
