FATALLY HURT BY TIGER
GALLANT FIGHT BY RESCUER. ENGLISHMAN DIES IN INDIA. By Telegraph—Pres* Assn.—Copyright Rec. 10 p.m. Calcutta, Dec. 19. Mr. John Gilbert Bourne, deputyCommissioner of the Betul district, Central Provinces, died to-day as tfce result of injuries received from a tiger while he was gallantly attempting .to rescue an Indian beater who was being mauieu. Mr. Bourne shot and fatally wounded one tiger, whose mate attacked the beater, then turning on Mr. Bourne.
