’NORTH DIVISION ARRANGEMENTS. < • . ' i ,■■ • .• ' The North Taranaki Cricket . Division met at .New Plymouth last night, Mr. T. H. Bates presiding. Others present Were Messrs H. J. Larkin, P. S. Carroll, F. C. Ferry, S. Sampson, S. O. Jones, H. W. Brown and H.. J. Abram (honorary secretary). . Arrangements for the Wanganui-Tara-naki match at Pukekura Park on Monday and Tuesday were discussed. Messrs J. M. Thomson and E. Sarten were appointed umpires. . . The Victoria College University versus North Taranaki match on the Friday and Saturday of next week was also discussed and similar arrangements decided upon. Mr. Larkin was-appointed 'manager of the North, team and ■ Thomson and Sarten the umpires. The North , team is to select its own captain. Messrs Ferry and A. Clarke were appointed ip handle' the arrangements iii connection-with-the Town and Country Senior B v.- Town seniors- at Western Park on Monday. On Saturday afternoon another match will be played at Western Park .between a Town senior B team and a Town senior A team.
NEW PLYMOUTH v. INUJLtwuvv. A match will be played to-morrow between a New Plymouth eleven arid a ’ team of Inglewood. Club Thursday sen-, ior players at Western Park, New Plymouth. . . The Inglewood team will be: G. Barry, P. Peacock, D. Parkin; P. Speechley, A. Thomason, D. Allen, B. Evetts, L. Sutton, N. Mackinder, Gyde and - Spurdie; emergencies, N. Wright and M. Night. ■ Appointments of umpires for Plunket Shield cricket matches have been made by the New Zealand Cricket Council. Advice has been received by the Wellington Cricket Association that Messrs Webb and Moore, Wellington, will officiate in the Otago-Wellington match to be played at Wellington commencing on Saturday. Umpires for the Canter-bury-Wellington match to be played at Christchurch commencing on Saturday are Messrs Forrester and Burgess, Christchurch.
