The deadly bowling of Wall (four for 25) and Grimmett caused a sensational collapse of New South Wales when within sight of an easy outright victory in the Sheffield Shield. match against South Australia. Nev/ South Wales, however, need only 11 runs to win and have three wickets in hand. South Australia, who made 213 in the first innings, made 251 in the second (Nitschke 27, Catchlove 32, Tobin 61; O’Reilly three for 55, Stewart three for 58, Howell two for 51, McCabe two for 25).
