TARIKI WOMEN’S INSTITUTE.
A* pleasant afternoon was spent on Saturday when the Tariki Women’s Institute held i garden party and entertained the children!of the district at the residence of Mrs. H. Knowles. The attendance was: not so good as it would have been, owing to the showery day. Remarkably few young, folk, however, had 'allowed the riiiri to keep them at home, 70 children making merry with competitions and games, and doing ample justice to the tea and ice cream. The beautiful garden was much admired, Mr. and Mrs. Knowles, being accorded a hearty vote of thanks, Winners of adult competitions were- ■ Mesdames Wood-mare,-Cowley and Swanson, eight other ladies? being, successful in. a treasure hunt Tariki members present at the first group meeting at Inglewood - were. Jdesdames Blair and Chapman.
