Bailey, expressed regret at the attitude up by the union members of the club, hut expressed the hope that before long the dispute would be over and’the Club would have all its members back > again. He went on to explain that last year it was decided to put down two asphalt courts on the pa grounds; the sary permission was granted by-tn* pa trustees, and with voluntary labour excavating work had been completed, but owing to the difficult times the work had been held up for the want of funds, and although the balance-sheet showed a credit of nearly £3O, it was necessary to obtain a further £lOO before the work could be started. An application for a loan from the Taranaki Maori Trust Board had not succeeded, and it seamed as though the work was to fee held up for a further 12 months. He was pleased to announce,: however, that a voluntary offer to lend, the money was made by the club president, Mr. J.
