Mrs. F. J. Moore and Miss Jean Moore motored on holiday to,Hastings and Taupo on Mesdames Boyles, Albertson and Sara (Taumarunui) were guests at the Stratford Hotel for the opening of the railway.
,A dance undeT the auspices of the Stratford Amateur Athletic Club was held in the Medina on Monday. Mr. T. Boyle was master of ceremonies. Two Monte Carlo waltzes were won byMiss Joan JoyeS and Mr. Roy Hinton, Miss Fryer (Hawera) and Mr. Lacey. Some of those present were Misses J. JOyfes, B. Taylor, L. and M. McDonald, E. Sanderson, J. Cook, McCluggage (2), Cooney, A. and H. Grant, B. Parker, D. Pearce, McCready, Dixon, M. Smart, M. Wilson, V. Sheahan, E. and C- Marsh, Wall, Payton, Dbdunski, B. McKay and Fryer ((Hawera). The music wae played by Vinsen’s Ambassadors. Extras were played by Mr. Ken Von Sturmer. . «
