The Press Association’s Apia correspondent states 4hat nominations for the Legislative Council, closed with .five candidates: Samuel Nornell .Meredith, merchant; Robert Graham Bruce, merchant; Irving Hetherington Carruthers, merchant;-Alan Ridge Cobcroft, planter; and Robert Carl Wetzell, planter. The..electoral ..roll, closed with 172 names. There are ..only two elected members on the council and with five candidates in the field the contest will be interesting, more so [than in previous elections.
