DEATH FORETOLD
CLIMAX TO A NOVEL. London, July 15. Ths testimony of two surgeons that both deaths were due to fractured spines has refuted rumours in Vienna that Pilot Broncek, who lost his life with Mr. Thomas Bata, the “Shoe King,” in an aeroplane crash, bore a bullet wound, states the Vienna correspondent of the Daily Mail. Mr. Bata’s lawyers recently caused the suppression of a German novel, “Danta the Giant,” which -was gaid to have been based on Mr. Bata’s life, and which ended with Danta’s death in an aeroplane crash while he was Cruising above his own immense factories. Mr. Bata’s funeral was attended by 30,000 persons.
