MR. DE VALERA IN LONDON

GREETING BY LARGE CROWD

HOOTS MINGLE WITH CHEERS

PRECAUTIONS FOR SAFETY

THE PARTY MET AT EUSTON

By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright.

Rec. 12.55 a.m. London, June 10. The cheers of a large crowd, mingled with some hooting, greeted President Eamonn de Valera and his party on their arrival this morning at Euston, where they were met by Mr. J. H. Thomas (Dominions Secretary) and Mr. Malcolm McDonald (Parliamentary Secretary for Dominion Affairs). The two parties afterwards breakfasted together. Exceptional precautions were taken to guard the sleeping car in which the party remained some hours after their arrival. A large squad of railway police and Scotland Yard specials formed a cordon.

The Irish party is visiting London to resume the negotiations opened at Dublin during the visit of the British Minister.
