Three Air Force fatalities yesterday increased the year’s death roll to 25. Lieutenants D. Margetts and J. Newsham, flying an aircraft attached to the aircraft-carrier H.M.S. Furious, were killed in an accident on the north-west coast of Scotland. Squadron-Leader L. Fl worthy was killed when his parachute failed to open after he jumped from a big-bomber containing four officers. The engine of the bomber stopped but the pilot made a perfect landing.
