DUTY ON BEER UNCHANGED
COMMONS DEFEATS AMENDMENT.
By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Rec. 7 p.m. London, June 9. The House of Commons by 301 votes to 71 rejected the Wayland amendment to the Finance Bill to reduce beer duty to £'s 3s per barrel from the present duty of £6 14s.
