CHARGES OF TREASON

NAZI MEMBERS ACQUITTED.

POLISH FRONTIER INTRIGUE.

London, June 2.

The Supreme Court of Leipzig has disallowed charges of treason against the Nazis, although documents which had been seized disclosed that the Nazis had been ordered not to resist a Polish invasion, in order to effect the collapse of the German Government. The Nazis were members of a German volunteer force, says the Berlin correspondent of the Manchester Guardian. This force was stationed on the Polish frontier. Its purpose was to delay possible invasion by wrecking railroads, bridges and telegraphs, but the Nazis had been instructed to obstruct such work. Herr Hitler declared that invaders must not be expelled before the German Constitution was overthrown. The storm detachments were ordered to stand aside if civil disorders arose. It was ordered that they must leave the police and the Marxists to fight until both were exhausted, enabling the Nazis then to seize power. The Nazis were also ready to seize the arms of the Railway Defence Force, which had been organised to protect the lines against disorder and banditry. This evidence was ignored by the Supreme Court because the Administration is sympathetic to the Nazis Many officials fear that they will Jose their employment in the event of a Nazi dictatorship.
