1914 WAGES LEVEL SOUGHT
SAWMILLS AVERAGE OF SELLING. LIMITED REWARD FOR CAPITAL. By Telegraph.—-Press Association. Hamilton, Last Night.. Representatives of sawmillers, cm the Main Trunk and Rotorua lines met yesterday to discuss the arbitration award? affecting the industry. An analysis of the position revealed the fact that the present-day av-r--zge 6f selling was current in 1914. It was therefore resolved to make an application CO the Conciliation Council to bring the wages to the level that existed in the 1914 award. A supplementary motion was unanimously passed affirming the principle of limiting the payment for all classes of capital in order to supplement the award wages after a limited reward for capital had been earned.
