W.D.F.U. MONTHLY MEETING. The monthly meeting of the Uruti branch of the W.D.F.U. was held at the home of Mrs. Smith on Wednesday. Mrs, D. S. Musker presided over a good attendance. Mrs. Haylock was enrolled a new member. The secretary, Miss J. Musker, intimated that she had received an invitation from the Toko branch asking memoers of the Uruti branch to be present at Toko’s birthday party. The Dominion secretary had written asking branches if they were content to keep on with the persons holding Dominion office at present, to save the expense of the annual conference. The 'branch notified that it was well pleased with the present officers. Afternoon tea was served by Miss Jean Musker and Miss Fugle. PERSONAL ITEMS. Mrs. Rigg, ■ New Plymouth, is the guest of Mrs. Campbell Rigg. Miss L. Williams, Ohura, is the guest of Mrs. IT. L Larsen, Pehu. Mrs. Henry is visiting friends in South Taranaki.

Miss Ferna Phillips, Pukearuhe, who was the guest of Mrs. Percy Thomson, has returned home.

Miss Ruth Musker is visiting New 'Plymouth. Miss Jesse Thomson, who was the guest of her sister, Mrs. A. Wedge, has returned to Taupiri. ' Mrs. A,. Tofts, who lias been a patient in the New Plymouth hospital, has returned home.

Mrs. O’Donnell and Miss O’Donnell, Okau, have been the guests of? Mrs. Percy MacGregor. Miss E. M. Cannoli, Mt. .Messenger, has returned after the school vacation. Mr. and Mrs. H. V. Larsen have returned from a motor trip to Ohura.
