WORK OF MANGOREI DISTRICT

EXHIBITS FORM FARAI AND HOAIE. In a display which is a model for compactness are' exhibited the products of Alangorei in the Alangorei District: Court. In the centre is a sucking pig, and all around it are fruit and vegetables, besides a remarkable collection of pickles, jams and preserves. At the sides of the court are hung a lamb’s pelt and a calf’s pelt, the lamb’s wool being especially soft and downy. The place of honour in the display is given to a box of butter, and besides this there is a goose and a delicious ham. The work of the women in the homes of the district is shown in pieces of embroidery and needlework of a high standard draped at the back of the exhibit.
