LESS OVERLAPPING AIM

WORKLESS WOMEN’S RELIEF COMMITTEE’S REPORT SHORTLY. CONCLUSION OF DOMINION TOUR. CO-ORDINATION 01'’ ORGANISATIONS By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The committee set up by the Unemployment Board to investigate the report on relief measures among workless women will meet at Wellington to-mor-row and it is expected its i eport embodying suggestions framed as a result of its Dominion tour will be completed by the cud of this week or early next week. Mr. IL D. Thomson (under-secretary of the Immigration Department) is chairman of tho committee and the members arc Mrs. Marshall MacDonald (Dunedin), Miss B. E. Carnachan (Auckland) and Mrs. C. K. Wilson (Pio Pro), a prominent member of tho .Women’s Division of tho Farmers’ Union. For the past live weeks the women members of the committee have been touring New Zealand. The committee was set up bv the board for tho purpose of conferring with local unemployment relief organisations in various parts of the country. It is understood the proposal in the mind of the board is not so much a replacement of existing organisations as their co-ordination. The principle upon which future activities will probably be based will be that relief can be given with less overlapping than in the past.
