EXPLOSION IN SCHOOL
NINE PEOPLE INJURED. DUKE’S PREVIOUS VISIT. London, May 27. A few hours after the Duke and Duchess of York had left the North Prospect schools, at Plymouth, an explosion occurred in a classroom. Nine people were injured, including three children. ' The public were inspecting the school after the Duke and Duchess had opened it. A blinding flash of flame in an oilfuel heating apparatus caused the door to blow off. The police prevented a panic.
