OATH ABOLITION IN IRELAND
BILL IN DAIL ON WEDNESDAY.
PASSAGE THOUGHT IMPROBABLE By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. London, April 16. It is understood that when 1 the Irish. Free State President (Mr. E. de Valera) introduces in the Dail on Wednesday a Bill to abolish the oath of allegiance, Mr. W. T. Cosgrave (Leader of the Opposition) will move its postponement until the British and Free State Governments have inquired into its reactions on the treaty, says the Dublin correspondent of the Daily Mail. The Bill is unlikely to pass the Senate, where Mr. Cosgrave’s party has a majority of staunch treaty supporters.
