GENERAL AND PERSONAL ITEMS.
The first of the series of euchre parties arranged by the bowlers and of which Mesdames Inder and Poole had charge, took place on Monday. A good crowd was present hoping to gam a ham or bag of flour, the prizes. Mrs. J Williamson and Mr. J. McLeod won hams. Mr.. R. Murray and Mr. Spray each received a bag of flour for second prize. Miss Langton and Mr. J. Boardman won the consolation prizes. A fastest time crame and points prize was won by Messrs. Williamson and Fleming. Mrs V. Dawson, Messrs. V. Dawson and J. Boardman will be in charge next I! Mrs. Hughson senr. has her eldest daughter, Mrs. Dale, Timaru, visiting her. Miss Nieken is a patient in the New Plymouth public hospital. Mr. R. Hodson is in hospital at New Plymouth.
The Rahotu Croquet Club is closing its lawn for tho season on Wednesday. Mrs. Lummas is away on holiday. The annual meeting of the Anglican parishioners took place on Tuesday nio'ht, not many being present. Mr. Gibson, the secretary, submitted the bal-ance-sheet showing a credit of about £4O. Mr. F. Smith was re-appointed people’s warden, Mr. Battler vicar’s warden and Mr. Gibson lay-reader and secretary.
