Wellington, April Mr. Oliver Nicholson, Auckland, has been, elected chairman of the Bank of New Zealand.
Mr. Nicholson is a barrister and solicitor, of the Auckland firm of Nicholson, Gribbin, Rogerson and Nicholson. He was Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of New Zealand Freemasons 1916-1917 and is chairman of the New Zealand Insurance Company, vice-president of the Auckland Savings Bank, and was appointed a director of the Bank of New Zealand in 1924. For many years Mr. Nicholson was Mayor of Mt. Eden.
