POLICE DISPERSE CROWD
UNEMPLOYED AT DUNEDIN.
MEETING QUIETLY BROKEN UP.

Dunedin, Last Night.
The only demonstration by the* unemployed to-day was dispersed quietly and effectively this afternoon when, a detachment of 30 police marched straight into the crowd. In a few minutes the meeting was broken up and the crowd dispersed.
QUESTION ASKED IN HOUSE.
“NO FURTHER INQUIRY NEEDED.”
Wellington, Last Night. The Leader of the Opposition (Mr. H. E. Holland) asked in the House of Representatives to-day whether arrangements would be made for a full inquiry into the clash between police and unemployed at Dunedin on Monday. The Prime Minister (the Rt. Hon. G. W. Forbes) replied that a full report already had been received of all the circumstances and therefore no further inquiry was necessary. “That is only a one-sided report,” said Mr. Holland.
