REHABILITATION OF NAPIER
CONTRACT FOR MASONIC HOTEL.
By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright.
Napier, April 13.
A contract has been let to the Edwards Construction Company, Wellington, for the erection of a new Masonic Hotel costing £40,000. The plans provide for a two-storied ferro-concrete building containing 73 rooms. The erection of the Masonic, which will occupy perhaps the most valuable individual freehold property in the devastated area of Napier, is regarded in many quarters as the key to ultimate complete rehabilitation.
