PRICE OF ELECTRIC LIGHT.
(To the Editor.) Sif,-LWe' find the' New Plymouth Borough Council and the other power boards have participated in the benefit of a 10 per cent, cut all round in the pay of employees, plus, we will say, a IO per cent, cut in the price of water used, etc., and a 10'per cent, reduced coSt in the bulk power bought from the Government, as they also had their cost reduced by 10 per cent. Will our wise and considerate council and Power Board think of the reduced purse power and give the consumers the benefit of the saving by reduced price of electricity for house and power use ? ’ “Make chargee hot” seems to be the present motto, ■so the consumers will find it warm in the coming winter while their purses will be frozen. —I am, etc., LIVE ORNAMENTS.
