OPERAS FOR LONDON
COVENT GARDEN SEASON. FORMER DEODSKXN REVERSED. London, March 17. Th© Morning Post announces that th© British Broadcasting Corporation has taken steps which have enabled the Covent Garden Syndicate to reverse its former decision. The choice of operas will be left entirely to the syndicate, but the corporation will decide which operas it will broadcast. The syndicate had decided to abandon the summer opera season as it would involve the engagement of foreign artists and necessitate the exporting of capital.
