AUROA DISTRICT NEWS. 1 A very successful tennis dance was held at Auroa on Saturday night when there was a large -attendance, visitors being present from Alanaia, Hawera, Opunake and elsewhere. Mr. J. Hooker supplied excellent dance music and extras were played by Messrs. B. Eliason, W. Coxhead and Mr. AlcCluskie. Vocal items were given by Ain McCluskie, who received encores. At the close of the evening Mr. Stan. Wilks, on behalf of all present, expressed regret at the departure of Mr. McCluskie, who is leaving this week for Hawera, and a hearty vote of thanks was accorded him for his valuable musical assistance at all times, both at the piano and with songs.
