COMING WONDERS

MARRIAGE RAYS PREDICTED. PROCESSOR’S EXPECTATION'S. [London, January 6. 'Strange visions are conjured up by a peep into the possibilities of 1932, the most unique being the forecast by Professor A. M. Low, consulting engineer and research physicist, of marriages arranged by emanations. On the side of scientific/development we are promised a flight round the world, new developments with artificial light, new world motor speed records and the arrival of television in the home. Professor Low says he thinks certain people give off certain love emanations, the scientific study of which would result in happier marriages and relieve the congestion in the divorce courts. The subject, says Professor Low, is at present monopolised by street poets and novelists, but he is of the opinion that successes in tire discovery of new kinds of emanations from the sun, which many people are attempting, may lead to a greater knowledge of the structure of matter. The next really big development, according to the professor, will be a nonstop flight round the world, the aeroplane being refuelled at various pointe. If artificial light, the efficiency of which is at present 2* per cent., were to be increased by half per cent., it would have tremendous results.
