PROGRESS TOWARDS FORMATION. TARANAKI SUB-CENTRE SOON. Preliminaries towards the formation of the new West Coast (North Island) Athletic Centre are well in hand and the body will be inaugurated after January 15. The special committee set up to consider constitution and finance met at Wanganui over the week-end and drew up a draft set of rules. A financial basis was also drawn up. To-morrow night delegates from the Taranaki clubs will meet at Stratford. The Taranaki sub-eentre will then be formed and the club’s committee disbanded.
