Lady McLaren Brown, in the presence of Lady Ryrie, Lady Snowden, Mrs. Eccles and well known Australians and New Zealanders, in opening the successful Empire market at the Lyceum Club, said the beneficent results of the Australian and Canadian trade treaty had demonstrated the value of intraImperial trading. She hoped it would extend throughout the Dominions of the British Commonwealth.
’The league, in conjunction with the clubs and United Empire circles, organised an admirable display. The stalls of Australian and New Zealand produce attracted many patrons.
