CONCLUSION OF BANNER PLAY FINAL DECIDED AT VOGELTOWN. WEST END CHAMPION CLUB. Playing in the beautiful surroundings and on the splendid green of the Vogeltown Club, West End, winners of section B for the bowling banner, on Saturday heavily defeated Vogeltown, win'ners of section A in North Taranaki. West End, as a result, will now have the honour of playing off with the winners in the South Taranaki and Western division competitions, which will ba played at a later date. Owing to recent rains, the green waa somewhat heavy. The game at Vogeltown waa played, in a happy spirit, but at all times was keen and interesting. West End were the first to pick the strength and draw of the green, and at the afternoon tea adjournment had a considerable lead on their opponents-, This lead, waa substantially increased during the latter part of the game, and West End ran out the winners by 58 points margin on the aggregate. At the finish of play Mr. F. Cooper congratulated the club on again winning the championship honours in North Taranaki and stated that it gave the Vogeltown Club great pleasure to have been in the final with such redoubtable opponents. Mr. T. Potty briefly replied. Three cheers were then called for both clubs and so ended another successful
