Ift, Tho first work of the Federal Strjic* ture Committee of the Round Table Conference was largely occupied in hearing general expressions of views by new members, but in the more detailed discussions of the last few days it completed inquiry into the question of the method of election to the proposed AIIIndia Federal Legislature. On Monday it will begin to consider the relatione between the two Chambers of that Legislature. A desire expressed by Mr. Gandhi that the committee should proceed at quickly as possible is fully shared by. the British delegates, and in fact by the committee as a whole, and it is hoped that by the end of next week additional questions as to the strength of the Federal Legislature and the distribution of financial resources between the Federation and its units will hav& been disposed of..
