POPULAR EUCHRE PARTY
MOUNTAIN RACE FUNDS BENEFIT. A successful euchre party was held in the Workers’ Hall, New Plymouth, last night under the auspices of the Taranaki Circular Road Race committee. Forty-four tables were engaged, and Mr. V. Beal supervised the games.. Assistance was given by Messrs. Brjggs and Fields and Mrs. Williamson (cloakroom). Prizes to a total value of £lO were distributed among the following winners: — Ladies: Mrs. Woodham, 14|pts., 1; Mrs. McKenzie, Waitara (after a playoff with Mesdames Land and White), 14pts., 2; Mrs. White, 3; Mrs. Land, 4. Men: Mr. Keogh, Rahotu, 17pts., 1; Mr. K. Nodder, 16ipts., 2; Mr. Rumball (after a play-off will- Mr. S. Jackson), lojpts., 3.
