(By Wire —Parliamentary Reporter.) Wellington, Last Night. A Bill to postpone the licensing poll thia year was introduced in the House this evening and. read • a first time. The measure was challenged from the Labour benches and the division bells were set ringing, but a division was not pressed when the question was restated. ’ ■' ■ ■■ 1
No poll is to be taken, according to the Bill, in conjunction with any general election prior to December 31, 1933, but provision is made, for a poll simultaneously with the first general election after that date.
