VICTIM OF MENTAL TROUBLE.

Mrs. Pine, aged 70, the daughter of a Maori chieftain and wife of a prominent Maori living at Moawhango, near Taihape, threw herself in the Moawhango River on Saturday afternoon. Two girls tried to' prevent her. At the inquest today a verdict of suicide’ while mentally ■’Jnsound was returned.
