EVERYBODY’S. MATINEE TO-DAY AT 2 P.M. • •‘A Tailor Made Man,” Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer’s delightful comedy starring William Haines and Dorothy Jordan, will again be presented at Everybody’s, New Plymouth, to-day at. a school holiday matinee at 2 p.m. and finally to-night commencing. at : 7.45. . “A Tailor Made •Man”, is preceded by a varied supporting bril including a Micky the Mouse cartoon, ICOMMENCING TO-MORROW. Marilyn Miller dances into Everybody’s Theatre to-morrow at a matinee at 2 p.m. and in the evening at 7.45 in “Sunny,” the Vitaphone adaptation <vf her famous stage success. This is Miss Miller’s second film. Her first, “Sally,” was one of the most popular pictures ever produced. Despite the fact that the dialogue was -in English,-', the picture “packed them ,in’,’ .in practically- every foreign country. Miss Miller holds a unique., place on the American stage. She is so outstanding as a dancer and as a light comedy opera star that has no competition. There is no other actress with her combination of talents who can challenge her supremacy. “Sunny” is a different type of picture from “Sally,” but the same comedy prevails. Miss Miller introduces a number of novelties in dancing. Lawrence Gray, Joe Donahue, O. P. Heggie, Judith Vosselli and Barbara Bedford are among those in the supporting cast.

The first feature, “Sweethearts and Wives,” is a mystery-love-comedy drama by such popular favourites as Billie Dove,

Clive Brook, Leila Hyams and Sidney Blackmer. The picture centres around a diamond chain, a murder, a society detective, a wealthy young man and two extremely fascinating young women, both of whose middle names should be “Trouble.” The second feature—both of them are First National and Vitaphone productions—is “Courage,” an intensely human story of a mother - who has to fight against almost overwhelming odds to hold and to protect her children. Belle Bennett and Leon Janney play the principal roles. ; COASTAL PICTURE SHOWS. • At the Olcato, Rahotu and Pungarehu Halls everyone will, enjoy Hoot Gibson in his Western action, picture “Spurs.” Packed to capacity with thrills, the action is sustained throughout, giving “Spurs” tremendous force as a western romance. Never .has Gibson appeared to such advantage as he does in this pic- . ture. He rides and fights his way through the film in breath-taking sequences that will fairly lift you from your seats. A talking news ajnd good ; comedy are added to this splendid entertainment, also Chapter 2 of “The Jade f Box.” Don’t miss this programme.
