AUCKLAND BEAT HAWKE’S BAY. SUPERIORITY OF BAY FORWARDS. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Aug. 22. The return Rugby niatch between Auckland and Hawke’s Bay was played at Eden Park to-day under ideal conditions and resulted in a win for Auckland by 19 points to 14. The match was almost confined to the forwards, in which division Hawke’s Bay showed superiority except fur about 20 minutes in the second spell when Auckland rattled on eleven points in quick succession. '" Auckland scored two converted tries, two unconverted tries and a penalty goal, and the visitors three penalty goals and. a converted try.
